Salt City Church Vision Meeting
Redemption Church - Twin Cities
Speaker: Jacob Thompson
May 17, 2020 · 45 min
Summary
In light of COVID-19 disrupting their church plans, Salt City Church leadership calls the congregation to embrace Psalm 46—to "be still and know that I am God"—rather than frantically rebuilding. They announce major transitions: walking away from a building campaign, Jordan moving to co-lead the main church after leading Salt Company, and a renewed focus on discipleship depth over numerical growth.
Highlights
I don't want my life or our life as a church to go back to normal in the sense that we're busy doing Jesus' things, and so we're not actually deepening in our relationship with Jesus.
What I see in the Bible is that when leadership is shared, everybody wins. Different family members have different strengths and different weaknesses.
God, I pray that our church would be deeper as a result of what we're walking through, and that you would help us to be still and know that you're God.
