Summary
Paul exhorts the Corinthians to discern genuine ministry by looking beyond charisma and cultural appeal to three marks: truth over pretense, obedience over comparison, and worship over pride. True teachers point followers to God's holiness and Christ's lordship, live with humility and repentance, and care for spiritual maturity rather than personal expansion.
Highlights
A true teacher points you to God, not toward himself. He's not gonna make you think about how impressive they are, but how amazing God is.
When Jesus is the hero of your story and you're no longer the hero of your story, you become a godly person because the godly life is a self-forgetful life.
The steady diet of our Christian life ought to be in the local church. Because if it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a church to raise a disciple.
