Summary
Jesus teaches that abiding in Christ—remaining connected to Him like branches to a vine—is the singular principle that produces spiritual fruit: evangelism, Christian character, generosity, good works, and worship. The pastor challenges listeners to simplify their spiritual lives around this one word and practice daily communion with Christ.
Highlights
The Christian life is not the complicated thing that many of us have made it. Jesus reduced the Christian life down to this one word, the principle, the practice of this one word that we find in John chapter 15.
Without me you can do nothing. There's no spiritual power, no spiritual energy, life without Christ.
If you spend time with Jesus you're gonna start looking like him and acting like him. You can't do what Jesus would do, but you all know who Jesus is if we know him, and we can be more and more like Jesus.
