Am I a Compromised Christian?

Summary
Jesus rebukes the church in Pergamum for compromising God's word to avoid cultural opposition, calling them to repent and stand firm in biblical conviction. Believers today face the same temptation to compartmentalize faith rather than let Scripture's authority override worldly values. Repentance restores joy and invites God's blessing; refusal invites his opposition.
Highlights
God's word are not prison bars. God's word is train tracks leading to his glory and your good. So when we compromise or depart from the word of God, it is not freedom, it's a train wreck.
We don't follow Jesus because he makes life better. We follow Jesus because he's better than life.
Most of us probably won't forsake Christ, but we are tempted to compartmentalize our faith to make things easier. To be a Christian on Sunday morning and on Wednesday night, but not from Monday through Saturday.
