Summary
Genesis 2 establishes God's design for humanity through two rhythms: rest and work. The pastor teaches that rest is not earned through vacation or busyness avoidance, but found in communion with God, while work is a dignified stewardship of creation that reflects God's character—not a burden or identity source.
Highlights
If the devil can't make you bad, he'll make you busy. If the devil can't make you bad, he'll make you busy.
Busyness has cut off your connection to God, to other people and even to your own soul.
Adam's identity is set into motion far before he's given a job. Adam's identity and his foundational place of being is to commune with a holy God.
