Summary
Paul addresses the Corinthian church's failure to discipline a member engaged in unrepentant sexual immorality, calling them to remove this "leaven" from their midst to preserve the church's holiness and represent Christ faithfully to a watching world.
Highlights
When the world's standards of holiness are higher than what the church is holding, we're in a really bad place. That's a dark place.
Christ's love for us is our deepest motivation to live lives in devotion to Him. He died that we might live. And now with this new life, He calls us, 'Live for me.'
We are Jesus' representatives in the world. We are salt. We are light and we see that through our deeds, our character, our conduct. What will they see?
