John 1 reveals that God became flesh in Jesus Christ—fully human yet fully divine—to make himself approachable and offer believers the gift of spiritual rebirth into God's family. Though Jesus came to reveal God's character and restore all things according to divine design, many reject him, yet all who receive him gain the right to become children of God.
Highlights
What does God look like? You can't look at him. He's high and he's holy, he's bright. But you can get close to Jesus. In Jesus, God became approachable.
The greatest gift of Christmas is the opportunity for you to receive what God has given to you in Christ. For as many who has received him, he can make you new.
When Jesus did miracles, he didn't break the natural order, he restored it. He was taking what was broken and making it right.
