Summary
David Platt teaches four biblical foundations from Genesis 1–3: God creates humanity to display His glory, designs men and women to demonstrate the gospel through complementary marriage, judges sin by His righteous law, and pursues sinners with redeeming love. He then applies these to four cultural imperatives: fighting abortion, fleeing sexual immorality while defending biblical marriage, working for justice, and prioritizing unreached peoples.
Highlights
Where the battle rages there the loyalty of the soldier is proven.
If that which is in the womb is a person formed by God, this issue is not complex at all. This is a person created by God, then no justification for abortion could ever be adequate.
We desperately need our eyes open to desperate poverty and gross injustice in the world around us, and we need to work for justice in the world as we speak about the judge of the world.
