Summary
Paul corrects the Corinthian church's misunderstanding of spiritual gifts by redirecting their focus from the gifts themselves to the Holy Spirit as the giver. Every Christian receives distinct abilities and roles designed by God for the common good of the local church and the advancement of God's mission.
Highlights
Don't focus on the gifts. Focus on the giver. It's the same spirit in all of you.
Spiritual gifts are like windows. Windows don't produce light when the sun is out; windows let the light in. As you use your spiritual gift, the light of Christ can shine into that dark room.
It's not you that gets manifested. It's not your glory that gets praised. It's God that gets shown off.
