Summary
Jesus's crucifixion silenced guilt, paid for sin, restored separation from God, and defeated death. Through Isaiah 53's prophecy fulfilled on the cross, believers experience redemption, peace, and the promise of resurrection—making Good Friday genuinely good.
Highlights
On that cross 2,000 years ago, it wasn't just Jesus that died, something else died too.
What makes it good is he paid the penalty of your sin. He gave you peace for the brokenness of your sin. The voice of guilt and condemnation does not speak a better word than Jesus.
When you gather around the death of a loved one who knew and loved Jesus and deep in your soul you're thinking, this shouldn't be the end. It's not.
