Summary
Jesus commands believers not to be anxious about life's basic needs—food, drink, clothing—because God provides for all creation and knows what his followers require. By seeking first the kingdom of God, believers can trust their Father's promises and live with radical generosity and purpose, freed from the anxiety that binds the rest of the world.
Highlights
Anxiety in the Christian life is people who are completely safe in God, yet experiencing the world through bodies and minds that haven't learned that yet.
What if some of the reason you don't experience God working miracles in your life is because you're not leveraging your life in a way that you need miracles to happen?
You don't want your life to be explainable. If your life is explainable, the world looks at you and says, this makes sense. But if your life is built on the kingdom of God, people will say, we can't explain this.
