So they're not your enemy then. They're your master. They had control over your emotions. They changed you. So they took something from you and you let them. Because they can't change you unless you let them.
When you fix your gaze on Jesus, the more you set your eyes on him, the less scared you'll be of them. And the less scared you are of them, believe it or not, the greater hope that you will give them, because they see something different in you.
You may suffer now, but God's with you in the suffering and there's good for you in the future.
