Summary
Matthew 21 presents Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey, fulfilling messianic prophecy, followed by his cleansing of the temple to restore it as a house of prayer. The sermon argues that Jesus demands total surrender of one's life and authority to him as king, not merely intellectual agreement or emotional alignment with his teachings.
Highlights
Have you ever actually truly surrendered your life to Jesus? Jesus demands from us. He is a king who has come, and he actually demands to sit on the throne of your life.
Jesus is not actually coming to lay claim to some area of our life. He actually intends to lay claim to all of it.
Following Jesus is not, hey, I made a decision a decade ago that now just affects where I'm gonna end up after I die. That's not the Bible story at all. No, actually following Jesus is actually this choice you make.
