Summary
Jesus, the pre-incarnate Son of God, first appears in Scripture to Hagar, a mistreated Egyptian slave girl, in Genesis 16. Through this Christophany, He demonstrates that He pursues the overlooked in their pain, personally and pastorally knows them, and has redemptive plans beyond human perspective.

Jesus pursues us in our pain. C.S. Lewis said this: God whispers to us in our pleasures. He speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.
Christ has plans beyond your perspective. I thought my life was over. It was just beginning.
No matter what the debt, what the criminal record, what the abuse, what the offense, what the divorce, what the adultery, whatever it is, God has plans beyond your perspective.
