Summary
Paul teaches that abundant life (zoe) is found exclusively in Christ, not in worldly pursuits. Since believers are raised with Christ, they must actively put to death sexual sin, speaking sin, and social sin that impede intimacy with Him and His design for flourishing.
Highlights
Identity always precedes activity. It is not seek the things above so you will be in Christ. Rather it is seek the things that are above because you already are in Christ.
Your soul is hungry. Feed it with a heavenly diet. You will consume something, and what we get to choose is whether we consume a heavenly diet that draws us to Christ or a worldly diet that fills us with junk food.
The life that you were created for is found in Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ alone.
