Summary
Ephesians 5:15-18 calls believers to examine their lives carefully and live wisely as they recognize the critical moment in redemptive history: Jesus has come, salvation is available to all, and God alone can accomplish His kingdom work in this era of cultural decline. Being filled with the Spirit transforms us to live radically differently than the world expects, not merely to be morally better.
Highlights
If your life makes sense to the responsible, the rich, and the successful people of this world, you might be missing the moment.
God doesn't make you a Christian and give you His Spirit to help you on your way. He made you a Christian and He gives you His Spirit to totally transform your life, to totally make you a new type of person who lives a new type of way.
When the Spirit of God comes in power, when we let Him have His way in our lives, everything gets changed. Nothing stays the same.
