Summary
Jesus appears to his disciples after resurrection, demonstrating his physical, personal, and perfected body as assurance of future Christian resurrection. He opens their minds to understand Old Testament scriptures fulfilled in him and commands them to wait for the Holy Spirit's power before proclaiming forgiveness of sins to all nations.
Highlights
Christianity is not wishful thinking, but it is certain hope. The Christian hope is grounded in the historical fact of the resurrection and his appearing to many people.
It means that in eternity, we will finally get to do all of the things which we deeply longed to do, but we'll get to do them with Christ, with perfected bodies forever.
Do not try to do the mission of God without the presence of God. Do not try to follow Jesus without the spirit of Jesus.
