Summary
Paul's prayers in Ephesians teach believers what to prioritize in their own prayers: deeper knowledge of God, eternal hope, spiritual inheritance, God's power, and the vastness of God's love. Rather than praying only for visible, tangible needs, Christians should intercede for one another's spiritual transformation and growth in intimacy with Christ.
Highlights
The one thing we most urgently need is a deeper knowledge of God. We need to know God better.
We need to know God better. Know in our hearts by faith that He's good, to know that He cares, to know that He's righteous and good, to know that He's eternal and omniscient.
If we prayed for these unseen, spiritual, invisible, eternal things like Paul prays for, if we pray such things for one another, we will become more heavenly-minded. We will care less about the things of this world that are fading away.
