Summary
Prayer is conversation with God, and believers have bold access to God's throne through Jesus Christ. The sermon establishes why we should pray (God's reality and relational nature) and why we often don't (forgetfulness of who God is, lack of teaching, spiritual warfare), then proposes letting Scripture fuel our prayer language through a 10-week series on praying the Bible.
Highlights
If prayer is simply conversation with God, and it is, then it shouldn't be that hard to know what to pray and how to pray, should it?
Our lack of faith in who God really is may be the single greatest problem we have in prayer.
When we bring God's Word directly into our praying, we are bringing God's power into our praying.
