Summary
Ephesians 4:31-32 teaches that Christians must replace relational destructiveness—bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, slander, and malice—with kindness, tenderness, and forgiveness. Rather than seeking revenge or control, believers heal relationships by surrendering pain to God and extending the complete, immediate forgiveness that Christ demonstrated.
Highlights
Bitterness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.
Choosing to act in kindness and not wrath or any of the other six in an outward manner or inward manner is an easy way to show that you are trusting in the Lord.
Consistent surrender to God is the only way to reach tender heartedness.
