Summary
Jesus teaches that Satan is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), describing him as a murderer without truth who deceives believers. Spiritual maturity requires discerning God's truth from Satan's lies and rejecting deceptive thoughts that contradict Scripture and produce harmful fruit.
Highlights
If you don't get anything else today, get this. Here's the problem spiritually. Many of us do not have that same discernment when the enemy is speaking lies into our minds and into our hearts. We are prone to believe what he says even though he is a liar.
You are in a war for your mind. You're in a war for your life and this never happens casually. Every single day it is a battle in my mind. Every single day is a battle to follow Jesus.
If you have bad fruit, look at the root. If you have bad fruit, in other words, if you don't like what's overflowing in your life, if you don't like who I am, you need to look at the root. And most likely what you will find at the end of the root is a lie that you have believed from the enemy.
