Summary
Psalm 113 reveals God's character as transcendent yet intimately concerned with the poor and marginalized. The psalmist calls believers to continuous praise by recognizing God's already-sufficient grace and by cultivating awareness of His presence in every mundane moment, not just in religious settings.
Highlights
If you show up here and try to sing songs to Jesus, if you find yourself in religious spaces and try to say sort of vague things that are sort of true about God, we actually find that we are incapable of doing that unless we know him for real.
The difference between being a Christian who just calls yourself that and somebody who actually experiences this reality of God is your ability to see and savor God in the mundane everyday moment.
God is the only being in the entire universe who when he's given supreme power and supreme authority he uses those things to bless the people in his care all of the time.
