Summary
Jesus teaches that the kingdom of heaven is like a net that catches all kinds of fish, which will be sorted at the end of the age into the righteous and the evil. The evil will be separated into the fiery furnace where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, illustrating both emotional anguish and physical torment in hell. Believers must urgently share Jesus with others and non-believers must repent and trust Christ to avoid eternal judgment.
Highlights
If you've ever wondered about the whole of the Christian story or the whole of the Bible, why did Jesus have to come, of all things, why did Jesus have to die on a cross and take my place on the cross, your place on the cross, to take the judgment meant for us and put it upon him? Because hell is a real place, that's why.
If we really love people, we will talk about hell as a church. If you really love people in your life, you'll talk about hell in your own personal life.
How much do you have to hate someone not to proselytize? An atheist. May God grip our hearts with that.
