Summary
Drawing from Proverbs 3:1-11, the sermon calls Christians to place wholehearted trust in God rather than divided trust between God and other sources. The pastor uses climbing metaphors to illustrate why partial faith is actually more dangerous than complete reliance on God, then applies this to wealth management and suffering.
Highlights
It doesn't matter how strong God is as an anchor for your life. If your trust is mixed between him and something else, the thing that really matters is what is the point of greatest weakness in your life that you've chosen to trust and that will determine the safety of your life.
Every single wise, mature follower of Jesus who I've looked at their life and said, I think I wanna be like you, they have always tithed, without exception, 100%.
You can't prune from a distance. God doesn't prune by kind of large scale forest management, setting a fire and seeing what lasts. No, he actually comes close, he prunes.
