By comparison to Christ's work, it's obsolete, like a scythe to a combine. The old covenant has been replaced by a new covenant that is vastly superior in every way.
God transforms our hearts and He transforms our minds and He puts His words and His laws directly on our hearts and that's a fancy way of saying, He gives us new desires. He makes us willing.
To be in the new covenant is to have a personal relationship with the God of the universe, with the Lord of the covenant, Jesus.
