Acts: The Movement That Can't Be Stopped

Jesus commissions his followers in Acts 1, promising the Holy Spirit's power to propel the gospel message from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. Despite persecution and opposition throughout history, this anti-religious message of grace and forgiveness cannot be stopped because God's power, not human effort, drives the movement forward.
Highlights
You can't stop it because it's the Holy Spirit. It's the power of God that's driving this forward. You can't torture it out of people. You can't murder people to stop it. You can't even put them in jail.
It's not about you. It's about his power. He's driving it. The invitation is pretty incredible at the beginning of Acts. You can have that. And then you can actually join it getting to the edges of the earth.
The invitation of Jesus is, do you want in on the grace that you could never earn? Do you want in on forgiveness and even righteousness applied to your account because of Jesus based upon nothing you've done?
