Summary
Paul corrects the Corinthian church's tribal divisions by showing that spiritual leaders are merely God's servants, not heroes to be idolized. Jesus Christ is the foundation of the church, and believers are God's temple—called to build faithfully with quality materials and maintain unity in this holy project.
Highlights
You are so much more than mere children. You are so much more than mere humans... they were acting not as though they belonged to Christ, but they were acting like they belonged to Corinth, proud and boastful and jealous.
Neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth... we stay humble, we don't congratulate ourselves, we don't consider ourselves indispensable in the work.
To divide his church, to divide his house into tribes based on human personalities... that don't start with him as the trajectory... is a very serious offense.
