Summary
Genesis 11's Tower of Babel illustrates humanity's prideful rebellion against God—building monuments to themselves rather than submitting to His direction. God's scattering of nations, though painful, reveals His grace in halting destruction. Jesus Christ fulfills the longing behind human ambition, offering Himself as the true connection between God and humanity.
Highlights
Sometimes the hardest and most painful things in our lives are actually the evidences of God's grace in our lives.
Sin makes us proud. And in becoming proud, we start to believe that we know enough about ourselves and the world to accurately define right and wrong for ourselves.
We have a God who's willing at times to wreck our lives. We have a God who's willing to destroy our plans, crush our dreams in order to save us.
