Summary
Jesus teaches through the Parable of the Vineyard Workers (Matthew 20:1–16) that dependence on God's generosity is superior to attempting to earn divine blessings. The master's grace toward laborers hired at the eleventh hour reveals that entitlement, marked by jealousy and grumbling, destroys joy and relationships, while trust and gratitude in Christ's redemptive work produce peace regardless of circumstances.
