Summary
Jesus reveals his heart through Matthew 11:25-30, teaching that salvation is hidden from the self-sufficient but revealed to those who come to him as dependent children. He invites the weary and burdened to take his easy yoke, promising rest through his gentle and lowly character.
Highlights
It is impossible for somebody to get Jesus to say something negative about you behind your back. He won't do it. He loves you too much. He is so on your team.
The fundamental difference between people who can actually come to know Jesus and follow him and those who cannot is the difference between a heart that says I trust Jesus and I know that I need him and a heart that says I kind of have it figured out on my own.
You can do nothing to change that ever. In the kindest of ways, you do not have any power over Jesus. He is gentle and lowly and kind. You cannot make him feel a different way about you.
