Summary
James 1:18–27 teaches that Christians are saved by God's will through his word to become his firstfruits. Hearing God's word requires intentional time and humble submission; doing God's word produces true freedom and blessing, evidenced by compassion for the poor and personal holiness—yet only Christ's perfect obedience and grace can satisfy what the law demands.
