Summary
Jesus declares that the harvest of souls destined for salvation is plentiful, yet laborers willing to share the gospel are few. Rather than rushing to action, Jesus calls disciples to pray for God to send out more workers, a prayer that transforms the pray-er's heart to align with God's eternal purposes.
Highlights
The reason there's no one in line here is 'cause it's hard. I don't have a lot of free giveaways, not a lot of shirts. And actually, if you do this with me, the people around you probably aren't gonna even be that proud of you. They're not gonna clap for you on your way to the top of this thing 'cause I'm not going to the top. I'm actually going to the bottom. And the world's not gonna value it. You're not gonna be able to post on Instagram. People won't care, but I'll care.
The problem isn't sin. Jesus actually took that into the grave with him. He defeated sin. Sin is not the problem anymore. The problem is that salvation has been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus. And there are so few people telling the world about it.
What I want you to do is pray. And he says we should pray to the Lord of the harvest that he would send out laborers into his harvest. Do you know whose heart will change, though, as you pray this? Yours will.
