Summary
Paul calls Timothy to consecration—setting apart one's life for God's purposes—through three commitments: using words to build others up, knowing and sharing biblical truth, and pursuing holiness in community. Jesus' perfect consecration on the cross empowers believers to trust Him and live consecrated lives.
Highlights
Greatness only comes through consecration.
God uses consecrated people. You don't have to be smart. You don't have to be rich. You don't have to be charismatic in order to make great impact for the kingdom of God with your life.
Jesus consecrated himself for you, and when you see that message of the gospel, you say, yeah, Jesus gave himself for me. He calls me to set myself apart for him and I trust him.
