Summary
Christians are reconciled to God through Christ's great exchange—our sin for his righteousness—and are given a ministry of reconciliation as ambassadors representing God's kingdom to the world. This calling is not reserved for the elite but belongs to every believer, expressed through humble daily faithfulness to relationships and tasks, not necessarily through dramatic proclamation.
Highlights
We are not just cleared of our debt. We are given a full bank account of righteous standing before God. When God looks down at the ledgers, he doesn't count our sin in our account anymore, he's put that in Jesus' side. What he sees in our account, Christ's righteousness.
People know a Christ follower by the way they act and the way they talk. People know and they look and they see, you ain't from around here, are you?
Be liberated now from the burden of believing that anything depends on you. And so be liberated at last to give yourself to his joyful service in grateful response for the grace he has lavished upon you.
