Summary
Revelation 21–22:5 describes God's future dwelling with His redeemed people in a new heaven and earth. The new Jerusalem, portrayed as both a glorious city and a pure bride, is made beautiful and holy by God's presence. Believers are called to trust in Christ's finished work, secure their names in the Lamb's Book of Life, and live with joyful anticipation of eternal communion with God.
Highlights
God says this is the future, because I—you can trust me, because I am faithful. I am true. I have kept my promises, and I will complete all of my plans and all of my purposes.
All the stains, and the smudges, and the smears of the old creation are gone, replaced by a new heaven and a new earth. A place that has never been contaminated, and never been defiled by anything evil or unclean.
Where is your home? Babylon or New Jerusalem? Those whose home is the New Jerusalem seek to find joy, comfort, glory, and eternal life in relationship with the Creator.
