Summary
Reputation is more valuable than riches and is built on steadfast love and faithfulness. Though easily damaged by sin, a broken reputation can be restored through honest confession and repentance, finding mercy in God's grace through Christ's righteousness.
Highlights
A good reputation is built on steadfast love and faithfulness, that a tarnished reputation is the result of sin, and that we can be restored to God because of His grace and because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
Our role within the world is not to hope that everybody sees us doing good so that they can applaud us. Our role in the world is to take the posture of Jesus Christ and be a servant whether people see us or not.
When we come before God, confessing our sin and saying, God, I need You to restore my life. I need Your grace to cover me. He's happy to do so, because He loves to be glorified in this way.
