Summary
Paul warns Timothy of worldly corruption in the last days through 19 godless characteristics, then charges him to reject false promises, recognize deception, and remain faithful to Christ amidst inevitable persecution. Believers must respond with gospel boldness, trusting Christ's sufficiency rather than self-reliance.
Highlights
He is God, and I am not. We keep thinking we're bigger than what we are. We keep thinking we are God, and God is like, you are so small, but I still love you.
When Christ is your sufficiency, those all are secondary, they're just part of life. And they're a way to connect with people, they're a way to engage in the gospel with people.
This world is not our home. It's not our forever home. We're passing through, we were created for a purpose, and we're here until that purpose is accomplished.
