Summary
Acts 5 reveals the church's explosive growth stems from God's power, not human strategy. As Jesus' resurrection manifests in healings and transformation, opposition intensifies—yet disciples rejoice in suffering dishonor for his name, embodying his sacrificial love in a hostile world.
Highlights
You are not experiencing something about us. You are experiencing something about Jesus. When a church is healthy and when Christians are really living as authentic followers of Jesus, we actually experience the life of Jesus in our midst.
Rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name. Something happened in the heart of these people that didn't just allow them to endure suffering but when they started facing dishonor and persecution, their response intuitively was to rejoice in it.
You cannot live your life based off of the path of least resistance. The extent you get serious about your faith and the life of Jesus actually starts to be embodied and manifest in your life, you're gonna find opposition.
