Summary
Acts 6 reveals that church growth requires simultaneous numerical, spiritual, and organizational development. When the apostles addressed neglect of widows by appointing seven servants, they modeled how stepping forward sacrificially writes the church's future. The sermon applies this principle to a capital campaign, inviting believers to move from consumers to creators of their church.
Highlights
The history of the church is written by the people of the church. You're actually currently sitting in someone's sacrifice right now.
God made you in his image, and God is a creator. God created you to bring your gifts, and your passions, and your experiences to his church, so that our church could become what you believe it could be.
Being cynical protects you from getting hurt, but it also keeps you from experiencing the movement of God in a church.
