Summary
Drawing from Acts 1:12-26, Andrew argues that following Jesus requires total identity transformation, not mere belief addition. The disciples' unified prayer despite their radical diversity demonstrates Christianity's miraculous power, while Judas's betrayal reveals God's sovereignty over evil and the church's resilience under Christ's leadership.
Highlights
Following Jesus is not something you can do by just adding a little bit of religion or spirituality into your life. You need to give him your life.
Even when evil people do what they want, God still does what he wills. Even when evil people do what they want, and evil has a moment out in front, God is still doing in the big picture what he wills.
The one thing that Jesus says he doesn't have enough of is people willing to do the work. The one resource that Jesus says is scarce is not spiritual gifts, not his power, not knowledge, not money—it's people willing to get in in the kingdom of God and work.
