Summary
Matthew 22:15–46 presents Jesus' final confrontations with religious leaders seeking to trap Him through questions about taxes, the afterlife, and the greatest commandment. Jesus exposes their resistance to His lordship and reveals that true allegiance belongs to God alone, not human authority or self-interest.
Highlights
Jesus is the potter who has sat down at his shop. Instead of finding soft clay that's ready for him to carefully shape and mold into something beautiful, he's sat down in front of dry, hard clay that resists his hands.
Jesus has come to make something beautiful out of our clay. Would we let him? Would we let him add his water to our clay so that we can be soft again?
What would it look like if you truly lived like Jesus is the Christ? Like if you really lived like it, if he was the king over your life and not just a consultant.
