Jesus was treated like a cheat so that you could be treated like a faithful steward. Jesus was cast into the outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth so that you could be brought in to the very presence of the Father.
Underneath all of our generosity issues is a trust issue. It's an issue of do we trust the Lord to provide for us or do we trust in ourselves.
