Summary
Paul illustrates gospel humility through Timothy and Epaphroditus, showing that everyday believers embody Christ's servant heart through true service (genuine care), total service (unconditional sacrifice), and tested service (consistent faithfulness over time).
Highlights
Sometimes in our daily lives, it can be easy for us just to get by with being nice, right? But if we want to truly serve people around us, then we have to be willing to sacrifice something.
Our path to becoming more like Jesus and his service is more like a savings account than it is winning the lottery. Timothy and Epaphroditus didn't become models of humble service overnight.
Living a life of service, it's not about big moments. It's not about the flashy things of selflessness, but it's about a lifetime of small ones, small moments where we've shown up for others.
