Summary
Paul charges Timothy to proclaim God's Word faithfully in all seasons, because Scripture creates and sustains spiritual life. The Word—God-breathed and pointing to Christ—equips believers for every good work and transforms hearts from the inside out.
Highlights
The word creates life. The word sustains life because it is the word of life.
We need Jesuses running around this church, not a bunch of little mad heremas. The scriptures are not about conforming to a mentor's way of life—they're about being shaped by Jesus.
If you're breathing in the toxic chemicals of all the other inputs that you have in your life and you only get 35 to 40 minutes on Sunday morning of word input, you are going to suffocate.
