Jesus doesn't want generosity from you. He wants generosity for you. Jesus wants your treasure to be in heaven so that your heart will be drawn there because that is where true life is found.
He gave up His life for every greedy moment that you've ever had. He shed His blood so that you could be forgiven of your sins. That is how you become generous—by looking at the cross and the generosity of Christ for you.
