Summary
Jesus teaches that true righteousness goes beyond external behavior to the heart, using anger as the primary example. Anger progresses from feeling to insulting words to contempt, ultimately destroying relationships and hindering God's promised plans. Only through Christ's power can believers uproot anger and pursue reconciliation.
