Summary
Mark 15 recounts Jesus's trial before Pilate, where he stands silently accused of false charges rather than defending himself. The sermon argues that Jesus's humble, non-resistant response exemplifies God's redemptive plan and sets the pattern for how Christians should conduct themselves—with gentleness and truth—in the face of persecution and injustice.
Highlights
Jesus was so much bigger and he's got something so much better in mind than those little earthly things of us being correct. We all tend to underestimate Jesus.
Jesus is exactly where he is supposed to be. He is exactly where he wants to be. This is all part of God's plan which God declared beforehand.
The way Christians win the battle in the end and throughout history is through gentleness and reverence, so that when we do suffer, not if, when—the way Christians win the battle is through the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.
